STAR CITY — Nellie Hankins Raley, 99 of Star City died Wednesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 5, 1915 in Calmer to the late William Marcus and Lennie Mae Rodgers Hankins. She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Thomas Raley; brothers, W. T. Hankins and Wilbur Hankins; sisters, Lyda Mae McClellan, Hazel Reed and Bernice Oakley.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie (Cheryl) Raley and Billy (Patricia) Raley, all of Star City; two daughters, Joy (the late, Neal) Moreland of Dumas and Virginia (Billy) Rose of Farmington; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are 12 p.m. Friday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Steve Hoskins officiating. Visitation is 11 a.m. until funeral time Friday. Burial at Drake Cemetery. Pallbearers are Randy Raley, Tim Rose, Mike Moreland, Scott Moreland, Kenny Oakley and Johnny Good.
