JEFFERSON — Minnie Langrell, age 98, of Jefferson, died Saturday, December 28, 2013. She was the widow of Oliver Ray Langrell, who died in May, 1985.
Born July 26, 1915 at Heber Springs, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Anna Mae Poole Holland. She grew up in England, Ark., and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Langrell was a cafeteria worker and a house parent at the Boy’s Industrial School in Pine Bluff, the Presbyterian Home in Monticello, and the Girl’s Reform School in Alexander for a number of years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and canning.
Also predeceasing her are three children, Peggy Thomas, Carrol Ann Langrell, and David Bruce Langrell; four siblings, Bud Holland, Lee Holland, Ruby Spann, and Thelma Walker: and a granddaughter, Carol Janette Foster.
Survivors include her children, Mike Langrell, Annette Carter, John Langrell, and Jim Langrell; fifteen grandchildren; and a large number of great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, 12:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Brother M. L. Faler will officiate, and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
