Macil Lee Browning Robinson, age 102, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, January 30, 2014.
Mrs. Robinson was born January 4, 1912 near Star City, a daughter of the late John Ruben Browning and Anna Belle Hankins Robinson. Most of her life was lived at Sherrill.
She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, and the Adult Ladies Sunday school class. Gardening and fishing were her favorite pastimes. Although primarily a homemaker, she was also a cafeteria worker at White Hall High School for a number of years.
She married W. E. “Jack” Robinson on November 12, 1932, and he died September 26, 1990. Also predeceasing her are two sons, David Robinson and Raymond Robinson; six brothers, Marvin Browning, Veo Browning, Ira Browning, Arthur Browning, Allen Browning, and James Browning; and five sisters, Ethel Davis, Larue Chapman, Lillie Boyter, Effie Gatewood, and Cecil Hulse. Mrs. Robinson’s survivors include two sons, Larry Robinson (Sharon) and Leonard Robinson (Gloria); a daughter-in-law, Joyce Robinson; a sister, Lorene Fikes; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Visitation will be Friday, 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South. Funeral Services will be Saturday, 10 a.m. at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Jimmy Chapman and Brother Ben Hulsey officiating.
