Funeral services for Lewis Hunt, Jr., 62 of Pine Bluff, passed July 18 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center will be Saturday 11 a.m., Cherry Hill MBC in Moscow, Ark., Rev. David Marks.
He was born April 10, 1952 in Pine Bluff to Lewis Hunt, Sr. and Mollie Hunt Lewis affectionately known as “June” by his loving family and friends. He leaves a legacy of love and previous memories behind, he never met a stranger. He loved to laugh and to have fun. He had many friends because he showed himself friendly, he always had a smile on his face and a giving heart. His love for life and his kind spirit will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at New Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James Wilkerson. He attended school in Pine Bluff School District.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chester Hunt; sister, Reaper Hunt.
Survivors; parents, Lewis Hunt, Sr. and Mollie Hunt of Pine Bluff; three brothers, Tom Hunt of Pine Bluff, Dexter Hunt, Michael Wayne Hunt both of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Bessie Smith of Pine Bluff, Ark., uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation may be made Friday 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The remains will lie in state at the church, Cherry Hill MBC in Moscow, Ark., 10 a.m. until funeral time. Burial will be in Belmont Cemetery in Moscow, Ark. Services by Perry Funeral Home.
