ADELANTO, Calif. — Mrs. Leatha Bell Bradford, 83, of Adelanto, Calif., made her journey home on December 9, 2013. Leatha was the daughter of the late Ananias Hopson and the late Rosie Lee Williams of Buckner, Ark.
She was born July 30, 1930 in Buckner, Arkansas. She was raised in a Christian family and accepted Christ at an early age.
Leatha was a wonderful wife and loving mother, who believed in serving her family, which she did as a full-time homemaker. She spent many years of her life caring for the children of family and friends. She spent her spare time gardening, scrapbooking, reading, and listening to music.
She was the wife of the late Oscar Bradford, Jr. for 52 years and the mother of seven children: Patricia Ann (William) Howard of Pine Bluff, Donald Wayne (Sheela) Bradford of Adelanto, Calif., David Glenn (Linda) Bradford of East Point, Ga., Barbara Ann (Boris) Whiteside of Stone Mountain, Ga., Tracey Lynn Bradford of Ontario, Calif., Pamela Denise Christopher of Pine Bluff, and Diane Bradford (Deceased) of Pine Bluff.
She also leaves to mourn her death her brothers, Thomas J. Williams, Willie C. Williams of Dallas, Texas and sister-in-law, Darlene West of Pine Bluff. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, Christopher Bradford, Nicole Howard Petersen, Dominique and Christina Howard, Michael, Mitchell, and Matthew Bradford, William Brewington, Jordan Whiteside, Derek, Dylan, David, and Devan Bradford, and Dushyant A. Malviya, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at Brown Funeral Home Chapel on December 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Charles Hellom. Graveside Services will be conducted afterward at Forrest Lawn Memorial Garden on Princeton Pike by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
The family will be gathering at the family home at 2512 King Street, Pine Bluff.
