WHITE HALL - Lafa Watson, age 85, of White Hall, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Watson was born October 6, 1928, in Golden, Missouri, a son of the late Martin Levi and Alva Curr Watson.
Mr. Watson was reared and educated in Missouri and Holtville, California. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1968. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Star City and the Redfield United Pentecostal Church. He was a veteran of the U S Army and had served in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Watson.
Survivors include six sons, John Watson of Pine Bluff, David Watson of Woodlawn, Jimbo Watson of Pine Bluff, Stephen Watson (Vickie) of Star City, Michael (Laura) and Ronnie Watson (Nita) both of Hardin; one brother, Utah Watson of Holtville, Calif.; one sister, Jackie Densmore of Mountain View; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverends Phillip Hedden and Johnny Wall officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery near Rison.
The family will receive friends at Robinson’s Friday evening from 6-8 p.m .
