WHITE HALL - J. K. Robinson, 93, of White Hall, Arkansas, passed away on May 25, 2014, at White Hall Nursing and Rehab.
He was born December 9, 1920, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Reverend Archibald Franklin and Mattie Adella Whisenant Robinson.
Juara was reared and educated in Hot Springs, graduating from Lake Side High School and attended Deforest’s Technical School in Chicago.
He served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.
He had worked for the radio station KOTN as an announcer engineer and later at the Pine Bluff Arsenal in the communications department.
He was a member of Hardin Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Afton Cash Robinson; sons, David Robinson and Steve Robinson; daughter, Lynda Pirtle and son-in-law, John Pirtle; grandson, Kevin Todd Robinson and his parents.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Brenda Robinson of White Hall, grandchildren, David Robinson of Fayetteville, Rebecca Ricklefsen of Pflugerville, Texas, Leeann Lindell of Roanoke, Texas; great-grandchildren, Hope and Joel Ricklefsen and Brody and Caden Lindell.
Visitation will be 10 Am until service time at Robinson’s.
Services will be 11 AM, Monday, June 9, 2014, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Johnny Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
