Ira Robertson, Sr.

Funeral services for Rev, Ira (Floney) Robertson Sr. of Pine Bluff, passed July 12, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center will be Saturday 12 noon Full Counsel Christian Fellowship 517 Cherry street, pastor Vincent Johnson.

Rev. Roberson was born June 25, 1931, in Swan Lake, Arkansas, he was son of the late Ira Roberson and Alice Reynolds Johns. He was preceded in death by his step mother, Arnita Roberson step father Robert Johns, brother, Excel Robinson,, daughter Phyllis Robertson. He accepted christ and joined the Eudora Baptist Church in Swan Lake, Ark. In 1951, he united with Ethel B. Logan in Wabbaseka, Ark., they were married for sixty-three years, eleven grandchildren were born.

He was called to the ministry in 1965, He pastored Jerusalem No. 3, St. Paul Bass Chapel, United Baptist, Cherry Hill Church for more than 40 years; he was very dedicated and passionate to his members and ministry. He remained faithful pastor until his health failed. He owned and operated Arkansas Best Concrete for more than 50 years and was very well known in Pine Bluff, Ark.; for master skill in concrete work; he has contributed to the building of schools, churches, malls, bridges, and many other jobs. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Ethel R. Robertson, six sons Ira Robertson Jr., E. L. Robertson, Leon Robertson, Patrick Robertson all of Pine Bluff. Minister Alvin(Rochelle) Robertson of Little Rock, Ark., Vincent Robertson of Hayward, Calif., four daughters Associate pastor Shirley(Albert) Jenkins Little Rock, Ark., pastor Betty(pastor Charles) Hawkins of Williamston, New Jersey, Charlotte(Jeffrey) Ramsey of Pine Bluff, Ark. Allisoon Still of Sicklerville, New Jersey, five brothers, Ira Roberson, Willie Lee Robinson, Leon Robinson, George Robinson all of Chicago,Ill., Larry Robinson of Broken Arrow, Okla., nine sisters, Earlean Robinson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Maggie Sherrod, Arnita Davis, Marie Lyon, Helen Wyatt, Alberteen Dukes, Florence Robinson all of Chicago, Ill., Mary E. Brown of Pine Bluff, Darlene Brent of Hattisburg, Miss., forty four grandchildren, seventy five great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation may be made Friday 5-7p at Kingdom of God Ministry 700 S. Grant Street. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn cemetery. Services by Perry Funeral Home.
