Gloria June Smith, 84, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died, June 29, 2014, at Davis Life Care.
She was born June 2, 1930, in Canton, Mississippi, to Louis Rubel and Rogena Luckett Smith.
Her family moved to Pine Bluff from Memphis, Tennessee in 1939.
She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1950.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Our Lady of Victory-Court-Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Joseph’s Altar Society, Juniorette leader at St. Joseph, Azalea Garden Club, volunteer for the American Red Cross at Jefferson Regional Medical Center and had worked as an election official for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Louis Rubel Smith, Jr., Don Warren Smith and a niece, Debra Bryant.
Survivors include her sisters, Sally Place of Little Rock, Cissy Bryant of Corinth, Texas; six nieces; a nephew; a step niece; a step nephew; fourteen great nieces and nephews; one great-great niece and one great-great nephew.

A Vigil will be held 5:30 PM, Tuesday, at Robinson’s, by Deacon Noel F. “Bud” Bryant with visitation following.
A Funeral Mass will be 11 AM, Wednesday, July 2, 2014, St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Frank DuPreez officiating.
Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
