Glen D. Cody, 74, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, February 10, 2014, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Cody was born December 28, 1939, in Pine Bluff, the son of the late Alvin Eugene and Norma Elouise Phillips Cody.
He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff. He was a lifelong resident of Pine Bluff except for the twenty years he spent in the U. S. Navy.
Upon retiring from the navy, he began a long career with the Pine Bluff Arsenal where he retired as Line Leader. He was a member of the Esma Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Walton Cody, whom he married August 1, 1960, in Pine Bluff; son, Glen E. “Buddy” Cody of Hurst, Texas; daughter, Charlotte Ballard of Watson Chapel; sister, Linda Garner of Watson Chapel; brother, Bill Cody of Sulphur Springs; granddaughters, Abigail, Kristine, Nicki and Crystal; great grandchildren, Sidney, Jadis and R. J.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 14, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Jimmy Herring officiating. The Family will receive friends at Robinson’s Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
