DALLAS, TEXAS — George Michael Burns, 65, a resident of Dallas, Texas, and formerly of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at his home.
Born March 29, 1949, in Pine Bluff, he was a son of William J. and Mildred Graham Burns.
Mr. Burns was reared and received his early education in Little Rock, graduating from Metropolitan Vo-Tech School. After school he joined the United States Air Force and served six years. He then studied at I. T. T. Technical Institute for an Associate’s Degree.
After completing his degree, Mr. Burns was offered a job with Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas. He worked there as an electronics technician until retiring for health reasons. His health improved to the point he worked as an electronics technician for Raytheon for six years.
Mr. Burns was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one brother, Walter Eugene Harrison of Taylor, Texas; three sisters, Barbara C. Radar of California, Edna Kathryn Garibaldi of Mabank, Texas, and Mildred Willene Gann of Little Rock; numerous loved nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Graveside services at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Reverend Glen Flemmons officiating, and under the direction of Ralph Robinson & Son.
