Floyd Hickerson


REDFIELD - Floyd Dalton Hickerson (Hick) of Redfield, Arkansas was born on July 3, 1944 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Hick retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal. He enjoyed deer hunting, crossword puzzles, playing dominoes and spending time with his friends and family. He passed away on Thursday July 24, 2014 at the age of 70.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Theodore and Lela Hickerson of Altheimer; his brother, Bobby Hickerson; and sister, Gail Wooten.

He is survived by his daughters, Tera Wilson, Angel Shilling, and Nikki Martin all of Redfield; five grandchildren, Maegan Hickerson, Libby Wilson, Miranda Siverd, Cole Wilson, and Grady Martin; and three brothers, Mike, Harry, and Leon Hickerson.

Upon Mr. Hickerson’s request only a graveside memorial services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock with Pastor Matt Weaver of Southside Baptist Church officiating.

We are proud that our father served his country. He is a United States Army Vietnam Veteran. To honor this part of his life, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, a foundation that was close to his heart(www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
