Ernestine Britt Davison, 87, of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born May 17, 1926, in Pine Bluff, she was a daughter of the late Ernest S. and Tessie Moye Britt. She was reared and received her education in White Hall, graduating from White Hall High School in 1945. She also attended the University of Kansas.
In June of 1945, she married J. Frank Davison. Together, they had three children and shared 57 years of life, love and memories until his death in 2002.
Mrs. Davison worked for the Arkansas Department of Corrections, in the administrative offices, for a number of years retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church at Calmer, and a former member of the Arkansas Business Women Association Chapter Dubocage.
Mrs. Davison was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Billy Britt.
She is survived by her children, Jim Davison, of Pine Bluff, Steve Davison and Judy E. Ellison, both of Little Rock; her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Cypress Memorial Gardens with Reverend Don Nicholson by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m.Wednesday at Robinson’s. Friends may sign the online register at www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.
