Edwin ‘Buddy’ Robinette Harris, was born December 21, 1932 to Mary Bell Robinette and Galvin Harris. Reared in Kerr Junction and Woodlawn Community. He was an exceptionally hard worker, retiring as a self-employed truck driver for over fifty years. He was the loving, caring, devoted husband for fifty-four years of Elizabeth Mustachia and wonderful devoted father of his son, Michael ‘Mike’ R. Harris and his daughter, Stace` ‘Boots’ F. Burruss and devoted grandfather to, Michelle L. Tater, Tracee` E. Mills, and Tommy Burruss. He loved working with Brethern and Christian Life with the United Church of God and all its Brethern serving as Deacon, a bus driver, youth co-ordinator, and all activities of all kinds and the the truth he had found. He showed much love and help to all his family and friends with a kind hard working way.
He is survived by his wife, Liz; children, Mike (Glenda) Harris, Boots (Mike) Burruss; sister, Shirley (Charles) Blaylock; brothers, W. D. (Mrytle) Harris, Marvin Dewayne Harris, Bunny and Janice Capel and Nita McBee; and a host of nieces and nephews, whom he loved. He loved going to church every week, learning, helping, driving his disel, talking trucks, shooting pool, making a garden and picking cotton. He was a wonderful family orientated man and honored his mother-in-law, Dorothy Roberts, and father-in-law, James Mustachia with much love and respect on both sides. He always tried to do right in every way. He has many trucking friends he regarded highly from all over.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Cranford Funeral Home with Mr. Frederick Kellers officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon Tuesday until service time. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall.
