Edith Ray Bogy Fowler, 92, of Pine Bluff, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013.
Born May 7, 1921 at Altheimer, she was a daughter of the late David Bogy and Lula Flate Bogy.
Mrs. Fowler was a member of the Sixth Avenue Church of Christ.
She was caring and compassionate, her life was centered around serving and others first. A homemaker first and foremost, she worked outside the home at the Willy J. Hocker High School Cafeteria, Favor’s Dairy bar, and was a sitter for the elderly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Freelon Fowler; daughter, Linda Arledge, and sons David and Jimmy Fowler; siblings, Edna, Ethel, Joe, Estus, and Beltren.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by her sons, Duane, Russell, and Roger Fowler; Brother, H.B. “Buddy” Bogy and wife Juanita; son-in-law, Gerald Arledge; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Flat Bayou Cemetery with Brother Tom Cloninger officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Services. Online condolences: FullerFunerals.com
