E. Frank Reed, III, 71, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, January 20, 2014.
He was born August 5, 1942 in Pine Bluff, son of Dr. Enoch Frank Reed, Jr. and Martha Herren Reed.
Mr. Reed was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Reed served in the Pine Bluff Police Department for many years. Along with his wife, Pam, he served as a volunteer for the Special Olympics for many years, winning Volunteer of the Year once.
He was also a member of the VFW Men’s Auxiliary. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Thomas David Reed and Joseph Reed.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Kalkbrenner Reed, whom he married November 13, 1986 in Pine Bluff; two step-sons, Andy and Lane Nelson of Woodlawn; two brothers, John Lee Reed of White Hall and Gerald W. Reed of Little Rock; son, Stephen Joseph Reed; daughter, Miriam; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend George Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Robinson’s.
