Clarence Russell, Jr.

WABBASEKA — Funeral service for Clarence “Manboy” Russell, Jr., 82 of Wabbaseka, Ark. passed February 26 at Davis East Life Center in Pine Bluff, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Grace Temple MBC, 909 S. Wisconsin, Rev. Amelio P. Howard pastor, Rev. Daryl Graydon, officiating. He was born December 17, 1931 son of the late Clarence Russell, Sr. and mother, Hazel Watkins Russell.

He was preceded in death by parents; son, Clinton Russell; brother, Frank Russell; sister, Dorothy Pierce; step-brother, Leroy Pridgeon, Sr.; step-sister, Odessie Bryant, and step-brother, Jim Pridgeon. He was educated at Gethsemane Public School in Gethsemane Community. He worked as a farmer. He accepted Christ in 1966 at Star Bethel Baptist Church in Wabbaseka, Ark.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Beatrice Robinson Russell; seven children. Three daughters, Debra R. (Earnest) Withers, Reda R. Brown, Janice R. (Melvin) Fisher; four sons, Kevin (Tammie) Russell, Stanley (Pamela) Russell, Clarence Russell, III all of Pine Bluff, Ronnie Russell of Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Vernell R. Turner of Pasadena, Calif.; one step-sister, Imogene P. Franklin of Pine Bluff; twenty-three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives.

Visitation may be made Friday, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Gethsemane, Ark. Services by Perry Funeral Home.
