WHITE HALL — Charlene Pennington LeGros, 77, of White Hall, Ark., died January 4, 2014, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 24, 1936, in Dallas County, to Fred and Ellie Mills Pennington.
Mrs. LeGros was reared and educated in Sparkman graduating from Sparkman High School.
She had worked sixteen years for SAJ Distributors before retiring from the Computer Returns Department.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. LeGros, whom she married on August 15, 1950, in Sparkman; her parents; a son, John M. LeGros; a sister, Mildred Miller and two grandchildren, Timothy Clowers and Anthony LeGros.
Survivors include her daughters, Wannetta Clowers of Sheridan, Mary Jacquline Mattox of Pine Bluff, Shelia Graber of Fla., Michelle Ann LeGros of White Hall; son, Byron E. LeGros of White Hall; brothers, Fred Pennington of Pine Bluff, George Pennington of Hampton; sisters, JoAnn Winsworth of Chandler, Okla., Wanda Fay Williams of Camden, Ark., Brenda Pate of Lake Charles, La.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Vigil will be held 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Deacon Noel F. “Bud” Bryant officiating.
Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday at Robinson’s.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Father Frank DuPreez officiating.
Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery.
