Bobby J. Naylor, age 87, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, January 6, 2014.
He was born July 28, 1926 at Pine Bluff, a son of the late Robert Oscar Naylor and Nancy Ann Gillam Naylor. He was reared and educated at Pine Bluff and had lived in the Watson Chapel community for many years. During World War II he served in the United States Army.
Mr. Naylor was a charter member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, and was a machinist for the Cotton Belt Railroad for 43 years. He also was the owner of Naylor Trailer Park, and loved hunting and fishing.
He was also predeceased by two sons, Jerry Franklin Naylor and Robert Oscar Naylor; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Knickerbocker Naylor; a sister, Opal Naylor Davis; and a brother, George Thomas Naylor.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Coats Naylor, whom he married on June 3, 1950, three daughters, Diane Naylor McAlister of Pine Bluff, Kathy Naylor Boyd (Randy) of Pansy, and Beverly Naylor Clement (Robert) of Grapevine; three brothers, Oliver Naylor of Fort Worth, Texas, James Naylor (Glenda) of Watson Chapel, and Paul Naylor (Future Mae) of Little Rock; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Brother Howard Loetscher officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Naylor’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. and continue until service time.
