Anthony Branch

LEE SPRINGS - Anthony Kelley “A.K.” Branch, 62, of the Lee Springs Community, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014.

Born July 17, 1951 at Alamogordo, New Mexico, he was a son of the late Alvin E. Branch and Marie Kelley Branch.

A 1969 graduate of Watson Chapel High School, Mr. Branch retired from Union Pacific Railroad as Yard Master in 2011 after 42 years of service. He attended Whispering Pines Cowboy Church and South Pine Wood Baptist Church.

An outdoorsman, he was a member of Port City Bass Club, Rone Hunting Club.

He enjoyed riding his horses and spending time with his buddies at the “White Truck Fish Camp”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years,

Katherine Wallace Branch; granddaughter, Baylee Elizabeth Lain; grandsons, Garrett Wallace Lain and Tanner Duncan Lain.

Mr. Branch is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Kelley Lain (Donald) and Brandy Branch-Hollis (Christopher); sister, Linda Schultz; granddaughter, Hollie-Hooper Hollis; and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Brother James Watson and Brother Billy Burks officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel.
