LITTLE ROCK — State employees received their biweekly paychecks two days early this week, state officials said Wednesday.
“We regret the inconvenience that this has caused our agencies and employees,” Kay Terry, state personnel administrator with the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, said in a news release. “We are working to determine exactly what triggered this process earlier than normal and to prevent a recurrence.”
Terry said employees should treat the Wednesday direct deposit of their checks as a a normal payday and they are able to access their accounts.
There will not be another payroll deposit this pay period, she said, adding the next payday for employees is Feb. 7.
