Woman accused of threatening man with razor

A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly threatening a man with a straight razor.

Ashley Williams, 28, allegedly said she had threatened the man, Detective Cassandra McAfee said in a probable cause affidavit presented in court Monday.

Deputy Prosecutor Nicole Pugh said the incident occurred at the Second to None Barber and Beauty Shop in the Jefferson Square Shopping Center after the alleged victim told Williams she would have to leave because she hadn’t paid her booth rent.

According to the affidavit from McAfee, Williams allegedly pulled the razor out of her apron, opened it and held it in a threatening manner toward the alleged victim.

At Pugh’s request, Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Williams after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge her with aggravated assault.

Williams was also ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Williams.
