Two people from Southeast Arkansas were among 15 statewide that Gov. Mike Beebe has announced he intends to pardon.
All of the applicants have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole and probation requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences. There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback before final action is taken. In addition, there have been no further criminal law violations.
Those scheduled to receive pardons from Southeast Arkansas, the crime or crimes convicted of and county or counties of conviction are as follows:
• Randy King, theft of property, criminal trespass, possession of methamphetamine in Dallas County in 1996, Jefferson County in 1997 and Grant County in 2000. There were no law enforcement objections to the application.
• Toby A. Lane, criminal mischief, battery in Arkansas County, 1999, DeWitt District Court 2000. There were no law enforcement objections to the application.
