Suspect in November armed disturbance arrested

An investigation into a reported armed disturbance in November resulted in the arrest of a man Thursday night who was identified as the suspect.

Henry McAllister Jr., 20, allegedly pointed a gun at another man in the 2700 block of Bay Street on Nov. 17, Detective Temmothy Johnson of the Pine Bluff Police Department said in a probable cause affidavit that was presented in court Friday.

Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said the alleged victim told police he was walking down the street when a car pulled up and a man later identified as McAllister got out of the car and pointed a gun at him.

Johnson said the alleged victim identified McAllister from a photo lineup.

McAllister was arrested in an unrelated incident Thursday night.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 bond for McAllister on Friday after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault.

The judge also ordered McAllister to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.

McAllister said he would hire his own attorney.
