Police investigate Wednesday night shooting

A Pine Bluff man was shot Wednesday night and police are trying to locate the person involved.

Brain Gonder, 41, received what police described as a “non-life-threatening” wound to the abdomen and was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for treatment.

According to the police report, Gonder said he had gone to his former girlfriend’s house in the 300 block of East 21st Avenue to pick up some clothes and a male suspect met him at the door.

Gonder told police the man started shooting at him and he started running. Gonder said he didn’t know why the man had shot at him.

He was interviewed after he had been taken to the hospital.
