A reported burglary in progress at a house on the west side of Pine Bluff on Thursday resulted in the arrest of a man who was identified by a witness as having been involved.
Marcus Pugh, 18, was picked out of a photo lineup prepared by police after the alleged burglary at 2206 W. 41st Ave., Detective Mike Sweeney of the Pine Bluff Police Department said in a probable-cause affidavit presented in court Friday.
According to the affidavit, the front door of the house had been kicked in and three flat-screen televisions, a laptop computer, a video game system and games were missing. The value of loss was estimated at $3,550.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Pugh, who Deputy Prosecutor Carol Billings said had no prior convictions or pending charges, after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with residential burglary and theft of property.
The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Pugh.
