Pine Bluff man arrested in Little Rock bank robbery

A 19-year-old Pine Bluff man was arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with the robbery of a bank in Little Rock.

Devonta Piggee, who listed an address on Evergreen Drive in the Dollarway area, was taken into custody after the car he was riding in was stopped by Little Rock police for allegedly speeding.

Piggee was identified as the person who robbed the Iberia Bank at 4900 W. Markham St. on Monday.

According to a report from Little Rock officer Christopher Bonds, Piggee was a passenger in a car driven by Myea Dyer, 23, of North Little Rock that was stopped for speeding in the area of 300 Broadway Street.

A driver’s license check indicated that Piggee was wanted for aggravated robbery and theft of property and he was arrested without incident. After questioning, Piggee was taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Dyer was released at the scene.
