A special needs teen went missing Sunday from her home south of Pine Bluff and was found later that night in a wooded area two miles away.
Danyelle Hall, 14, was believed to have walked away from her home in the 1300 block of Lindsey Drive at about 7:25 p.m., said Maj. Lafayette Woods Jr., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, in a press release Sunday. Woods sent out notice that she had been found at about midnight.
“Danyelle Hall was just located in a wooded area near Pleasant Drive/Crows Nest, about two miles from her home,” Woods said. “She was found unharmed.”
Woods said Monday that Danyelle was first located by Rick Billingsly, Whiteville Township constable. Woods thanked him and the Arkansas Department of Corrections K-9 Team and A Child is Missing Inc. for their help. A Child Is Missing is a nonprofit organization that partners with law enforcement to assist during the first few hours of a child’s disappearance.
“Through continued coordinated efforts and assistance of members of law enforcement agencies, our law enforcement mission is a success,” Woods said in a press release. “All parties involved in the search of Danyelle mounted a superior effort to locate her and return her home.”
Lindsey Drive is off Middle Warren Road, Dixon Lane and Sumac Drive.
