An alleged argument Sunday at a house on the west side of Pine Bluff resulted in the arrest of one man who allegedly shot his nephew in the foot.
Antonio Cole, 34, allegedly told police the “gun wasn’t his and and he didn’t know where it was,” Detective Chris Wieland said in a probable cause affidavit presented in court Tuesday.
The alleged victim, Darren Brock, 22, told police he and Cole argued and when he went to his car and started to leave. Cole allegedly came out of the house and started firing shots at his feet.
Brock was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the right foot.
Records at the prosecutor’s office indicated that Cole has charges of residential burglary pending.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 cash-only bond for Cole on Tuesday after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with first-degree battery.
Cole was also ordered to have no contact with Brock until the case is settled.
