Citations issued in downtown collision


Pine Bluff police issued citations to both drivers who were involved in an accident at about 7 p.m. Thursday in downtown Pine Bluff.

Police cited Pamela Legrand, 36, of Pine Bluff for disregarding a red light in an accident that occurred at the corner of Main Street and 5th Avenue, Officer Bradford Vilches wrote in an incident report. Legrand was driving a Chevy Tahoe and allegedly drove through a red light and collided with a white Mercury driven by Tarik Dendy, 20, Vilches wrote.

Dendy was issued a citation for no proof of insurance, Vilches wrote.

Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medial Center. Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed from the scene.
