Bond set in alleged stabbing incident

A $10,000 bond was set Tuesday for a woman who allegedly stabbed her sister last week.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge Theresa Sample, 39, with second-degree domestic battery.

Detective Cassandra Briggs-McAfee said Sample surrendered to police Sunday and was taken to the adult detention center.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the sister, Sheree Sample, told police she and her sister had gotten into a verbal altercation that turned physical Friday at a house in the 1000 block of North Haley Street.

Sheree Sample told police her sister had stabbed her in the arm with a pair of scissors and Sheree Sample was treated at Jefferson Regional Medical Center for her injuries.

In addition to setting the bond, Kearney ordered Theresa Sample to have no contact with her sister until the case is settled.
