Arrest made in alleged armed disturbance

A reported armed disturbance on the east side of Pine Bluff on Sunday led to the arrest of a Pine Bluff man who was allegedly involved.

Blaire Brown, 18, was taken into custody Wednesday night and was identified as one of two people who got out of a vehicle and pointed a gun at several individuals.

Deputy Prosecutor Bryan Achorn said the incident occurred in the 2800 block of North Belair Drive at about 4:30 p.m., when two females were moving items out of a residence.

The alleged victim said Brown and another man pulled up at the residence, got out with guns and threatened to kill everybody.

Achorn said Brown was placed on probation in August after pleading guilty to a felony allegation.

Because of that, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $15,000 cash only bond for Brown after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault and with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Brown was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.

He said he would hire his own attorney.
