Pine Bluff police are continuing their investigation into the Monday afternoon robbery of the Bank of Star City at 3100 Camden Road but as of late Tuesday had made no arrests.
“We’ve had a few nibbles but nothing that has panned out so far,” Lt. David Price said about information the department has received about the robbery from members of the public.
The suspect was described as a white male wearing a dark toboggan, aviator-style sunglasses, a black leather jacket and dark denim pants. He entered the bank, puled up his shirt and showed a silver-colored handgun, and demanded money.
Price said the suspect, who had a mustache and thin beard, took an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the bank on foot in a northeasterly direction. He was last seen running across the parking lot of Fred’s across the highway from the bank.
Anyone with information about the suspect should contact the Detective Division at 730-2090 or the dispatch center at 541-5300. All calls will be kept confidential.
