Police announce street closings for Music on Main event

Because of the special Music on Main event scheduled Saturday night in downtown Pine Bluff, the Pine Bluff Police Department has announced that some streets will be closed immediately after the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Homecoming Parade that begins at 10 a.m.

Officer Richard Wegner said police are asking that all vehicles be removed from the roadway at the end of the parade.

The “Music on Main” event will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held on Main Street between Barraque Street and Third Avenue.

Streets that will be closed are:

• Main Street from Barraque to Third Avenue.

• Second Avenue from Pine Street to State Street.

• Third Avenue from Pine Street to State Street.

Wegner said traffic will be allowed to travel east and west on Barraque Street, north and south on Pine Street, and north on State Street.
