Jones to seek another term as District 9 JP

District Nine Justice of the Peace Paul Jones has announced his intention to seek his third term on the Jefferson County Quorum Court in the May Democratic Primary.

Jones serves on the quorum court’s youth and recreation committee, and is also a member of the building and grounds, community development/grants and education committees of the county’s’ legislative body.

He has more than 20 years of combined military and law enforcement experience and serves as director of security for the Watson Chapel School District.

Jones holds an associate’s degree in business management and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

“I would like to thank the citizens of District Nine for their vote of confidence and continued support,” Jones said in a press release. “If re-elected, I will continue to put out my best efforts for the citizens of District Nine and for Jefferson County.”

Jones is married, has two sons, and attends Canaan Christian Center.
