Jefferson County Road Report


The roads that were repaired by the Jefferson County Road Department are as listed:

May 30

Culvert Crew: Installed a 12-foot-by-24 culvert on Wingard Road and covered it with six yards of SB2.

Truck Driver: Hauled six yard of SB2 to Wingard Road and two loads of SB2 to E. Pointer Road.

Grader Operators: Graded McEntire Road and Griderfield Road and spread two loads of gravel on East Pointer Road.

Boom Mower Crew: Cut right-of-way on Divorky Road, picked up discarded furniture, limbs and a beaver dam on Altheimer East Road, Jefferson-Lincoln County Line Road, Old Warren Road, Whiteville Road, Wilbur West Road and Huntley Trail.

Sign Shop: Put road signs on S. Ramick Road and Thomas Road. Checked signs on Earl Chadick Road and checked the bridge signs on Watkins Road.

Mechanic Shop: A complete service job was done on a 2007 Chevy Pickup Z/71. One injector cleaner was replaced, one oil filter was replaced and six quarts of motor oil were used.

Environmental Officer: Checked county roads for illegal dumping.

May 31

Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Reed Lake Road and Jim Ford Road.

June 1

Sign Shop: Helped get tree out of the road on Hardin Road north.

June 2

Asphalt Crew: Overlaid Jacks Road with 293.90 tons of asphalt.

Truck Driver: Hauled 293.90 tons of asphalt to Jacks Road and hauled 40 yards of SB2 to Bayou Meto Recreation Road.

Grader Operators: Graded Swan Lake Road, Mail Route Road, County Line Road and Bayou Meto Recreation Road. Spread 40 yards of SB2 on Bayou Meto Recreation Road.

Boom Operator: Cut right-of-way on Melanie Lane, sprayed ditches to kill grass on Ray Dean Road, Watkins Road, Jim Ford Road and Ellison Road.

Sign Shop: Put road sign on Riverside Drive and put bridge delineators on Providence Road and Whiteville Road.

June 3

Bridge Crew: Tore out beaver dams on Wilbur West Road, Hooker Road and Belmont Road.

Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Scoggins Road and Musgrove Road.

Grader Operators: Graded County Line Road and spread two tons of SB2 on Minton Road and graded Morgan Road.

Boom Mower Crew: Cut right-of-way on Lisa Lane.

Sign Shop: Put two speed-limit signs, curve signs and bridge delineatros on Harmony Church Road.

Environmental Officer: Checked country roads for illegal dumping and trashy yards.

June 4

Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Old Dollarway Road, Ashcraf Road and Willow Road.

Culvert Crew: Installed a 12-feet-by-14-feet driveway culvert on Robinson Road and used eight tons of SB2 to cover it. Installed a 24-feet-by-24-feet culvert on Hardin Road north and covered it with eight tons of SB2.

Grader Operator: Graded Gibb Anderson Road, Swan Lake Recreation Road and Cornerstone Road.

Ditching Crew: Cleaned out ditches on Nichols Road.

Boom Mower Crew: Cut right-of-way on Hazel Street Extension. Cleaned out ditches on Bitely Road. Sprayed grass and weeds on Lonoke County Line Road, Marshall Road, Clint Henderson Road, Ackin Bridge Road and Wabbaseka Road.

Mechanic Shop: A complete service job was done on a 2009 Chevy pickup Z/71. One injector cleaner was replaced, one oil filter was replaced and five quarts of motor oil were used. A left-front inside-door window switch was also installed.

Environmental Officer: Checked roads for illegal dumping and trashy yards.

June 5

Patching Crew: Filled potholes on River Road, Stagecoach Road, Cook Road, Deep Bayou, Pointer Road and Hillside Road with hot mix asphalt.

Grader Operator: Graded Garrett Road, Jeter Road, Hartley Dump Road, Deep Bayou, Pointer Road, Wright Lane and Potpouri Road.

Boom Mower: Cut right-of-way on McCoskey Road.

Jefferson County Recycling Report

Brought in seven tire boxes, four cardboard/paper boxes and four trash boxes.

Brought three trash trailers in, sent three trash trailers out.

Jefferson County brought in 28.25 tons of tires, Get Rid of It/Waste Management brought in 39.1 tons of tires.

Continued operating the collection site near Taylor Field.

Picked up materials from various elementary and middle schools.

Participated in the Park Community Outreach Ministry in Wright, the event at Trinity Christian Fellowship and the Blues Festival in Altheimer.
