Jefferson County Road and Recycling Report


July 25

• Bridge Crew: Closed bridge for repairs on Mitchell Road.

• Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Ussery Road, Pleasant Drive, Shady Drive, Vernon Drive, Langrell Road, Baldwin Road, Ashley Road and Dollarway Cutoff Road. Cut a tree that had fallen across the road and hauled off tree stumps.

• Set Up Crew: Dug out soft spots on Providence Road.

• Truck Drivers: Hauled 24 yards of SB2 to Acorn Road.

• Grader Operators: Graded Walton Road, McGaughy Road, Sultana Road, Koenig Road, Altheimer East Road, Fluke Kelly Road, Longbell Road, Willie Jackson Road, Walker Road, Osburn Road an Bayou Meto Recreational Road. Graded Acorn Road and spread 24 yards of SB2 on the road.

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut grass and bushes on Osborn Road, Celia Road, Gibson Road, Luckie Road and Mulberry Grove Road.

• Sign Shop: Fixed signs on Gravel Pit Road and Longleaf Lane.

• Environmental Officer: Worked with a constituent to clean up a trashy yard.

July 28

• Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Jefferson Parkway, McFadden Road, River Road, Island Harbor Road, River Road, Crossover Lane, Holiday Drive, Trulock Bay Road, North and South McKinney Road.

• Culvert Crew: Installed a driveway culvert at the new recycling center and used four yards of SB2 to cover it.

• Truck Drivers: Hauled four yards of SB2 to the new recycling center on East Harding Avenue.

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut right of way on Brown Cemetery Road.

• Sign Shop: Put sign back up on Celia Road and worked in the sign shop making as sign for the new recycling center.

July 29

• Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Horseshoe Lake Road, Jim Ford Road and Ferda Road with cold mix.

• Set Up Crew: Poured concrete at Sulphur Springs Park for the pavilion.

• Grader Operator: Graded Griderfield Road, Ladd Road, Crofford Road, Morrow Road, Richmond Core Road, Hartley Dump Road, Lonoke County Line Road, Dudley Road and Murchinson Road. Graded Fisher Adams Road and spread two loads of SB2 on the road.

• Ditching Crew: Filled in the ditch on Coachlilght Drive with 12 yards of dirt.

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut right of way on Fulkerson Road and Snyder Road.

• Sign Shop: Put road sign up on Horseshoe Lake Road, Jim Ford Road, German Springs Road and Palomino Road.

• Environmental Officer: Worked with a constituent to clean up an illegal dumping site on a county road.

July 30

• Bridge Crew: The concrete bridge on Mitchell Road broke into and was torn out and replaced with 20 yards of SB2. The concrete was hauled off.

• Culvert Crew: Installed a 12-by-20-foot driveway culvert on Earl Chadick Road and covered it with eight yards of SB2. Put SB2 on driveway on North McKinney Road.

• Truck Drivers: Hauled eight yards of SB2 to Earl Chadick Road and North McKinney Road and 20 yards of SB2 to Mitchell Road.

• Set Up Crew: Dug out soft spots on Providence Road.

• Grader Operators: Graded Wabbaseka Road, Clint Henderson Road, Gibb Anderson Road, North Pack Road, Mitchell Road, Morris Chapel Road and Lessell Road.

• Boom Mower Crew: Cut grass on Jeter Road and Longbell Road. Picked up limbs in Sulphur Springs Park. Cut grass on Acorn Road and Jacob Road.

• Environmental Officer: Checked county roads for illegal dumping and trashy yards.

July 31

• Patching Crew: Filled potholes on Raymond Road, Moss Road, Spears Road, Hardin Road North, Donaldson Road, Hardin Wood Drive, Elkins Road, Cook Road, Mockingbird Lane, Hardin Reed Road South, Butrum Road, Stokes Road, Worthen Rpad, Forrest Drive and South Evans Road. Checked Quattlebaum Road for potholes.

• Truck Drivers: Hauled SB2 from Little Rock to the Jefferson County Road Department.

• Tiger Mower: Mowed ditches on Rob Roy Road and Atkins Lake Road. Removed a tree off Stagecoach Road, cut the tree up and hauled it off.

• Sign Shop: Put road sign and stop sign on North McKinney Road. Picked barrels up around the county from completed jobs and worked in the sign shop the rest of the day.

Jefferson County Recycling Report

• Brought in five tire boxes, three cardboard boxes, three trash boxes.

• Brought three trash trailers in, sent three trash trailers out.

• Jefferson County brought in 26.63 tons of tires. Get Rid of It/Waste Management brought in 61,14 tons of tires.

• Continued operating the recycling center near Taylor Field.

• Continued work on Sulphur Springs Park project.

• Provided educational materials to the Jefferson County Single Parent Scholarship Foundation and UAPB Child Care Development.
