FBI releases photos of how escapee may look now

The FBI has released a series of photos of how escaped Department of Corrections inmate Timothy Buffington may look now.

Prison officials are continuing their search for Buffington, who escaped from the Pine Bluff Unit on June 21.

At the time of his escape, Buffington was serving a 20-year sentence for first-degree murder and had been in prison since 1999.

He is a white male, 47 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 182 pounds. According to the Department of Corrections website, he has a scar on his abdomen and back upper left arm and a tattoo on his right wrist.

Buffington should be considered armed and dangerous. The last time he was seen, he had a loaded shotgun that he took from the home of a prison employee and video surveillance footage from shortly after his escape showed him wearing a camouflage hat and clothes.

If you encounter Buffington, do not attempt to apprehend him. Anyone with information about Buffington should call 911.
