Digital marketing workshops scheduled Friday in PB

Every business, no matter how large or small, has a presence online even if it doesn’t have a website. Comments are posted. Business information is gathered and displayed. Businesses should ask themselves if they are comfortable having their online presence determined by others. Is the online information about the business correct, up-to-date and portraying the business in a positive manner? How should a business deal with negative or incorrect information on the Internet?

If you own a business and have been thinking about digital marketing, now is the time to take the opportunity to learn more by attending one of the free digital marketing workshops to be held this week by the Pine Bluff Commercial and the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The purpose of the workshops is to answer top questions that local businesses ask about digital marketing. Is there a way to easily and inexpensively build and maintain a business website? Is there a way to manage the comments and information that others post online about your business? Is there a way to drive targeted traffic and sales to your website?

“In just 60 minutes, we will answer all of these questions,” said General Manager Emily Billings. We will show businesses how to maximize their advertising budget, reach the right customers and make more sales. Small businesses need to be knowledgeable about what digital marketing solutions are out there and how to best utilize them. If you are not in control of your online presence, you’re losing out on business that your savvy online competitors are happily taking from you.”

The Commercial and the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce will present two free seminars this Friday, Oct. 11, at the Chamber offices located at 510 South Main St. in Pine Bluff.

The first session, at 9 a.m., will be geared toward novice web users, such as businesses who do not have a website or social media presence.

The second session, at 11 a.m., will focus on more advanced marketing techniques and is suited for businesses that already have a web presence but are looking for ways to expand their web traffic and sales or to better manage their online reputation.

Those attending will have an opportunity to win a five-page website with unlimited maintenance and one year of free web hosting or a package that includes reputation management and brand awareness services free for one year. Light refreshments will be served at each seminar. There is no cost to attend.
