The Jefferson County Republican Committee has set filing fees for county and Pine Bluff municipal offices for the May 20 Primary Election.
Filing for the Republican Primary begins at noon Feb. 24 at the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office and ends at noon on March 3.
The committee set filing fees for Pine Bluff municipal offices at $26. Those offices include mayor, city clerk, treasurer, city attorney and alderman.
Fees for Jefferson County elected positions will be as follows:
• County judge — $300
• County sheriff, clerk, tax collector, coroner and surveyor — $200
• Justice of the peace — $100
• Constable — $50
Anyone wanting to renew their membership or join the County Committee can also file with the county clerk. If they don’t want their name on the ballot, they can file with Committee Secretary Eva Marie Pearson at P.O. Box 1305, Pine Bluff, AR 71613-1305. Specific forms are required and they will be available at the County Clerk’s Office after Feb. 1, or by requesting them from email@example.com. The filing fee for the Jefferson County Republican Committee is $25 for two years.
