Central Moloney Inc. Executive Vice President Chris Hart said Tuesday that his company has applied for a permit to add 9,000 square feet of warehouse space to its components plant at 5500 Jefferson Parkway in a move that signals a readiness to respond to increased business.
“Parts of the country are seeing an increase in new housing starts and across the spectrum of our business things are starting to favor us,” Hart said. “This addition to our existing 70,000 square feet of warehouse space will give us the added opportunity to respond quickly to the demands of our customers.”
Hart said work will begin as soon as formal approval from the City of Pine Bluff has been received.
“We have already awarded bids and our contractors are ready to go,” Hart said. “Once this is complete we will have increased our ability to warehouse finished goods. Things are starting to look better. We are excited about moving forward.”
Hart did not have a timeline for the construction project.
