Nearly 2,200 Entergy Company customers were without electrical service for more than an hour Tuesday when an outage occurred along Highway 270 from Pine Bluff to past the Hardin community.
A check of Entergy’s outage Web site showed that the affected area stretched northward toward White Hall. Electricity was lost on both sides of the highway.
The outage struck st 1:55 p.m. It was estimated that service would be restored by 4 p.m., and it was by around 3:30.
The cause of the outage was initially unknown. Efforts to contact Entergy public affairs personnel were unsuccessful.
