Beauty in The Bluff photo contest will bring $100 gift card to winner

A $100 Visa gift card — just in time for Christmas shopping — awaits the winner of the inaugural Beauty in The Bluff photo contest, designed to celebrate Pine Bluff and the arrival of the fall season.

The Nov. 1-22 contest will be judged by the public as well as Mayor Debe Hollingsworth and was originated by Kelley Bohlmann, the mayor’s administrative assistant. The public will go online to vote, selecting the top-five fall-related photos. From that group, Hollingsworth will pick the winner on Monday, Nov. 25.

The top photo is to be published in The Commercial’s Thanksgiving edition on Thursday, Nov. 28.

FBT Bank and Trust is donating the $100 prize as a co-sponsor of the competition. Other co-sponsors include The Commercial and local radio station KTRN (K-Train). Commercial, FBT, KTRN and city employees and their family members are ineligible to participate in the contest, as are professional photographers.

Individuals will be limited to entry of five photos, which must be taken personally within the city. Photo subjects must be inoffensive and fall-related. Entries are required to be print-ready.

All photos must be accompanied by the contestant’s name, address and telephone number and become the sole property of the city upon entry. The city reserves the right to use all entries for further promotional purposes.

Entries may be emailed to or mailed to Mayor’s Office, 200 E. Eighth Ave., Suite 201, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71601. If mailed, entry envelopes should be marked “Contest Photos” under the address.
