Wilmar revival to feature Prince Hall Masons

A summer fellowship revival will be hosted by Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church at Wilmar featuring the Grand Master of the Prince Hall Masons at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13.

Grand Master Cleveland K. Wilson of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free Accepted Masons, Jurisdiction of Arkansas, will be one of the guest speakers.

Wilson has given a special dispensation that will allow all Prince Hall Masons to dress out in full regalia. Bartholomew Lodge #28 of Monticello will be giving a special recognition to Rev. Shay Gillespie, pastor of Mt. Tabor, for his continuous support and dedication to his community and people.

“…As I so often say to my craft, God gives every bird its food, but He does not just throw it into the nest,” Wilson said in a news release.”It is the mission of the Prince Hall Masons of District 4 to provide strong and viable leadership through proper education, mentorship and support to embody the tenants of Friendship, Morality and Brotherly Love. This is who we are. This is what we are about…”

In addition to Wilson, speakers will include Presiding Elder J.R. Hooper of the Monticello/Warren District of the A.M.E. Church, Presiding Elder Kent J. Broughton of the El Dorado/Camden District of the A.M.E. Church, and Rev. Mark Stephens, pastor of the Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of McGehee.

There will be music by the Mount Tabor Choirs and the Union Chapel Choir.
