House of Bread Deliverance Church sponsored a walk-a-thon July 28-31 after the church received instructions from God during prayer, according to the pastor and apostle, Saint Mary Harris.
“God said he wanted His army to walk the city and walk to every gate to the city from all directions,” Harris said. “In other words, it’s time to let our feet get to walking. The army of the Lord could be seen walking throughout the city dressed in all white marching to war against the kingdom of darkness.”
The walk-a-thon was the prelude to the 2014 Prayer Rally held Aug. 2 on the steps near the flag pole at the Pine Bluff Civic Center. Various ministers came out to pray together for the city.
“God said that we will see change in this city. 2 Chronicles 7:14 reads, ‘If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.’”
During the prayer rally, a young man who had just left from work came over and said that he wanted to be delivered from drugs and that he needed help. Immediately, the participants prayed and ministered to him.
“The change has begun in the lives of the people in the city of Pine Bluff and surrounding areas,” Harris said.
