New St. James Missionary Baptist Church,33rd Avenue and Fir Street, will hold its 123rd church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Isom Cross, pastor of Union Baptist Missionary Baptist Church of Dumas.

True Worshippers Apostolic Church,106 N. Bloom St., will observe the 26th anniversary of its pastor and wife, Larry C. Nance Sr., apostle, and Mary Nance, minister, at 2 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be A.D. Ford, apostle and pastor of House of Prayer Pentecost Church of Little Rock.

Truth and Love Worship Center Church of God in Christ, 2006 W. 13th Ave., will hold its annual building fund service at 11:30 a.m. Sunday and the guest speaker will be Craig Banks, apostle of Canaan Christian Center.

New Morning Star Baptist Church of Cornerstone will observe its eighth pastoral appreciation honoring Rev. Willie J. Laws Sr. and Donna Laws Sunday. At 11 a.m. Rev. Alfred Carroll, associate minister of Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. At 3 p.m., Rev. Jimmy L. Fisher, pastor of Greater Mt. Calvary, will be the guest speaker.

Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Gould will observe the 12th anniversary honoring the pastor and wife, Rev. John Spicer and Janette Spicer, Sunday. At 11:30 a.m. the guest speaker will be Rev. Reginald Adams, associate minister of New St. Hurricane Baptist Church, and at 2:30 p.m. the guest speaker will be Rev. Derick Easter, pastor of New St. Hurricane Baptist Church.

Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Churchof Meroney will observe its sixth pastoral anniversary honoring Rev. Jesse Jackson Jr. and Vickie Jackson at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Robert Scott, pastor of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church of Grady.

Judah Restoration Center, 2401 S. Main St., will host the 11th appreciation celebration honoring Rev. Louis Ross and Rev. Jacqueline Ross, pastor and co-pastor of Hosanna Christian Church, starting with a banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday. At 4 p.m. Sunday, there will be an appreciation worship service.

Auburn Missionary Baptist Church of Gould will observe its anniversary program honoring Rev. and Mrs. Jimmy R. Bynum at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Isaac Barnes, pastor of First Baptist Church of Gould.

St. Luke AME Church, 9908 Princeton Pike, will hold its 130th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Alvin Smith, pastor of St. John AME Church.

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Sherrill will observe its pastoral anniversary celebration honoring Rev. Robert L. Watson at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Joseph Valliant of Morris Chapel Baptist Church of Sherrill.

Reynolds Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 706 S. Cypress St., will hold its family and friends day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Ulysses Dunlap, pastor of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and Jerusalem #1 Missionary Baptist Church.

Men’s/Women’s Day

Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church,8523 Princeton Pike, will hold its annual men’s day program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Charles Helloms of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Ladd.

Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 909 S. Wisconsin St., will hold its annual men’s day program starting at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. At 11 a.m. the guest speaker will be Rev. James E. Jones.

Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church of Tillar will hold its men’s day program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Johnny L. Morton, pastor of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Dumas.

Main Street Church of God in Christ,2901 Main St., will hold its annual men’s day program Sunday starting at 9 a.m. with family prayer and at 11 a.m. Learoy Heard, a deacon, will be the speaker. At 3 p.m. the guest speaker will be Elder Aaron Withers, servant leader of Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.

St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church of Sherrill will hold its annual men’s day program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Daryl Graydon, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church of Altheimer.

Concerts/Musicals

The Monthly Union Night of the Pine Bluff Quartet Union will be held at Family Time Baptist Church Ministries, 501 Ohio St., at 7 p.m. Sunday. The musical guests will include Men in Christ, Rice Spirituals, Union Choir, True Tones, Spiritualettes and more.

Meadowview Baptist Church,Highway 270 East, will host the Velvet Ridge Singers in concert at 6:30 p.m. Saturday to begin its spring/summer concert series.

Mt. Bayou Baptist Church of Altheimer will hold a musical benefit program honoring Rose Tolbert and Mary Louise Penister at 7 p.m. Saturday. It is sponsored by the SEA Community Mass Choir.

Revivals

Antioch Missionary Baptist Churchof Dermott will hold its spring revival at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Cedric Hawkins of First Baptist Church of Stuttgart.

Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church,909 S. Wisconsin St., will hold its revival at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Glenn Barnes, pastor of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Special Events

First Baptist Church (Dew Drop),1701 Bryant St., will hold choir rehearsal for its women’s day program at 6:30 p.m. on March 6, 11 and 13.

St. Andrew AME Episcopal Church, 701 Franklin St., will hold Ash Wednesday service at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Abundant Life Ministries, 3109 S. Main St., will hold its fresh oil crusade at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The guest speaker will be Rogers G. DeCuir, prophet of Holy Deliverance Church of Pasadena, Calif.

First Baptist Church, 4901 McDonley Road, will hold its Peppermint Pageant at 3 p.m. Sunday. Musical guests will include Almetta Youth Choir, First Baptist Gospel Choir, Bethel AM&E, Wheeler Chapel, Little Vessels and more. Also, all participants in the pageant will practice at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

First Trinity Church of God in Christ, 800 S. Catalpa St., will hold a mission service at 7 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Debbie Jackson, apostle of Christian Outreach Love and Worship Center.

Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 W. Pullen St., will hold its annual youth revival at 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The guest speaker will be Rev. J. Barrington Minix of Gaines Street Baptist Church of Little Rock.
