Voter registration deadline is Monday; early voting dates set


Monday, April 21 is the last day to register to vote for the May 20 primary election.

According to the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office, voters are reminded that they will have to provide photo identification when they vote. Residents who don’t have a photo ID may obtain one free at the county clerk’s office.

Early voting will be held at the courthouse 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday from May 5 to May 16 and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 19. Saturday voting will be held May 10 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Voters may go to their polling sites on May 20, election day.
