Southeast Arkansas College’s nursing program will host an event this week and announced its observance of National Nurses Week.
The Associate Degree in Registered Nursing Program will hold its candle lighting and pinning ceremony Wednesday, May 14, at 6 p.m. in the Founders Hall-Lyceum. The speaker will be Sue Tedford, executive director of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. The public is invited to attend.
SEARK’s Nursing and Allied Health faculty, staff and students celebrated National Nurses Day with a blood drive for the American Red Cross. National Nurses Week was celebrated May 6-12. The department also acknowledged the “pioneer of nursing,” Florence Nightingale, whose birthday was May 12.
