Santa has made special arrangements to visit boys and girls in the Highway 15 South Fire Department area during the early evenings of Dec. 13 and 14.
Santa will be riding in a shiny red fire truck and will announce his arrival at each stop in the area by turning on the fire engine lights and siren. He will be accompanied by Santa’s helpers from the neighborhood and fire department.
This is the 12th year Highway 15 members have carried out this program.
“It is our pleasure and joy to serve the citizens of our community and to continue this program as an outreach to you. Our goal is to bring Christmas joy to those whom we serve,” a spokesman said.
Members will attempt to call participants to let them know which evening Santa will stop by. Please know that sometimes children other than those on the list may show up at any of Santa’s stops. Santa always carries extra gifts so that every child at each stop will receive a gift.
To have Santa stop at an address in the Highway 15 area, participants should prepare gifts for the children at their location, placing each child’s name, age, address and phone number on a label attached to each package. Then drop the packages off at one of the locations listed below by Dec. 11. If you are unable to drop your packages off, call and someone will pick them up.
Drop off locations are John’s Glass Service, 10639 Highway 63 South 536-3365 (daytime only); Charles/Frances Cady, 308 Tranquility Lane, 534-2554; Martin/Marian Huber, 108 Tranquility Lane, 535-6259; Bob/Toni Perkins, 3609 Divoky Road, 879-5190; and Neil/Linda Quick, 1239 Harmony Church Road, 534-8002.
