The Arkansas First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ will host the annual Jurisdictional Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM) convention at the Pine Bluff Convention Center Monday through Friday.
More than 500 delegates are expected to attend and the public is invited to the mid-day and evening services.
Worship service morning speakers are Minnie Hill (Pine Bluff) and Karl Barnes (Benton), youth department, on Tuesday and Wednesday; Verna Brooks (Pine Bluff) youth department, on Thursday; and the presidents’ awards and recognitions on Friday.
Speakers for the 11:15 a.m. services include Oliver C. Smith (Forrest City), evangelist department president, Tuesday; Fred G. Lee (West Memphis), missions department president, Wednesday; Dedric Jones (Pine Bluff), music department, Friday.
Speakers for the 7:30 p.m. services include Wednesday, Superintendent Linwood Dillard, the international chairman of AIM of the Church of God in Christ Inc. Other speakers include Leato Walker Jr. (Little Rock), Sunday School president, Monday; Alvin Coleman Jr. (Wynne), music department president, Tuesday; Jurisdictional AIM Chairman Cedric Smith (Searcy), Thursday; Jurisdictional Bishop Jewel Withers (Little Rock), Friday. A late night musical will take place Friday.
Activities also include scholastic motivation, Bible Bowl, spelling bee competitions, math, drill teams, along with tours.
The AIM convention will announce a gift to two non-profit agencies in Pine Bluff at a press conference on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 9 a.m. in the lobby of the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
